Dr. Juan Torres
Dr. Juan C. Torres has received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences, in Whittier, California, a Bachelors of Science degrees in Kinesiology from California State University Fullerton (CSUF), and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians.
Dr. Torres has years of experience in helping families from infants to active adults, from professional athletes to weekend warriors in achieving their health goals through chiropractic care, fitness, and sports rehabilitation.
As a Chiropractor, Dr. Torres has worked with the USA Men’s and Woman’s Water Polo Olympics Team. He has gained much of his experience interning at the center for successful aging at California State University, Fullerton. Where he worked with older adults promoting health and vitality by leading fitness classes and Fallproff balance and mobility classes. His rehabilitation experience comes from working at California Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy in Long Beach. He has over 15 years of experience specializing in rehabilitation treatment of orthopedic musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries, spinal rehabilitation, arthritic conditions, repetitive strain injuries, postural mechanical issues, work related injuries and pre- and post-operation rehabilitation. He also has experience working with patients with acute and chronic condition at Kaiser Permanente’s physical therapy department. He’s also had the honors in working with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) patients and their families. These experiences prepared him to be successful in his current position with Bloch Chiropractic Wellness & Sports Medicine.
Dr. Torres is motivated and passionate about helping his patients reach their wellness goals through an overall lifestyle approach of healthy living, eating, and exercise. To keep abreast of advancement in his field, and to ensure the finest care for his variety of patients, Dr. Torres expands his knowledge through professional development and continuing education. He is currently working to become a Board Certified Chiropractic Rehabilitation Specialist from the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. His ever-increasing knowledge, education and experience, combined with a genuine dedication for people, fused with excellent communication, organizational and management skills, gives Dr. Torres expert status in his field.
The above accolades, coupled with affiliations, such as the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP), American Chiropractic Association (ACA), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), are causing Dr. Torres to shift towards a sought out chiropractor in his area.
