Dr. Erika Figge
Dr. Erika Figge is a chiropractor and certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) from Orange County, California. Dr. Figge is a graduate of USC where she was an All-American and National Champion water polo player. She represented Team USA from 2005 – 2011 and was the alternate for the Beijing Olympics. After experiencing several injuries and a hip repair, which all required a lot of effort in the rehab realm, Dr. Figge decided to return to school in 2014 to become a Doctor of Chiropractic and help others prevent and rehab injuries. Her focus in patient care and work with athletes is centered on active and functional rehab, giving the athlete more power over their own health and more responsibility in the injury prevention or rehabilitation process.
Dr. Figge currently plays water polo for the New York Athletic Club. She utilizes chiropractic care, the same active care plans she gives to her patients, and all of the modalities available at her clinic – HBOT, cryo sauna, percussion therapy, PEMF therapy and lumbar traction – in Long Beach, California in order to stay on top of her game and able to perform well in her sport. The ability to prepare, perform and recover well in something she takes seriously. She takes great pride in leading by example and being able to meet athletes where they are in order to help them reach their optimal goals.
