Juan Torres received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences, in Whittier, California. He has years of experience in helping families from infants to active adults, from professional athletes to weekend warriors in achieving their health goals through chiropractic care, fitness, and rehabilitation. Prior to obtaining his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Juan Torres attended Robert A. Millikan High School in Long Beach and went on to obtain his undergraduate studies at California State University, Fullerton achieving a bachelor’s of science degree in Kinesiology, focused on clinical exercises.

Juan Torres has had the experience at interning at the center for successful aging at California State University, Fullerton. Working with older adults promoting health and vitality by leading fitness classes and Fallproff balance and mobility classes. His rehabilitation experience comes from working at California Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy in Long Beach. He has over 6 years of experience specializing in rehabilitation treatment of orthopedic musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries, spinal rehabilitation, arthritic conditions, repetitive strain injuries, postural mechanical issues, work related injuries and pre- and post-operation rehabilitation. He also has experience working with patients with acute and chronic condition at Kaiser Permanente’s physical therapy department. He’s also had the honors in working with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) patients and their families providing exercise programs and stretching to maintain patient flexibility and mobility.

Juan Torres is motivated and passionate about helping his patients reach their wellness goals through an overall lifestyle approach of healthy living, eating, and exercise. He has and continues to attend seminars to educate himself and his patients on healthy living and nutrition. He has extensive pre- and post-graduate training in sports injury evaluation and treatment, rehabilitation, spinal decompression, Kinesiology taping, myofascial release techniques, percussion therapy, Graston technique. He plans on receiving his Certified Sports and Condition Specialist (CSCS) certificate and his Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician certificate in 2016. With his training and experience he implements a wide variety of techniques to individualize the patient’s treatment plans.

After graduation, Juan Torres joined Bloch Chiropractic and Sports Medicine. When he is not in the office you will find him spending time with his wife Dianne and his 3 children. He enjoys being outdoors and playing soccer.
